Settings
Open Settings from the sidebar, or search for any setting from the command palette with ⌘ K.
General
Section titled “General”- Version: the Herga version you have, with a button to get the new one when an update is out
- Server status, with Restart if something seems stuck
- Theme
- Launch at login. Herga starts hidden in the background. This only works for the copy in Applications.
- Keep history: how long captures are kept
- Captures folder: opens the folder where your data lives
Dictation
Section titled “Dictation”- Global shortcut on or off
- The hold-to-talk and hands-free chords
- Microphone
- A preview of the on-screen pill
- Sound cues and their volume
- Paste at cursor: whether text is inserted into your app at all. Turn it off to only save dictations to Captures.
Command Mode
Section titled “Command Mode”The Command Mode chord, and your saved transforms.
Transcription & refinement
Section titled “Transcription & refinement”- The Whisper model and language
- Refine transcripts automatically
- The cleanup model
- Remove self-corrections
Writing style

Section titled “Features”Re-run onboarding and turn optional features on or off.
